This helper project is to assist Sean Crowley in making prom decorations. There are many different jobs to be done, but my specific job is to cut the skyline for prom with a saw. The first day that we began to cut the skyline was on Wednesday, April 6. We traced a picture of a skyline onto some boards and I cut them out.
The next day that we will be meeting to cut more of the skyline will be on Wednesday, May 18.
Jonathan Adams
Project leader: Sean Crowley
Project Name: Prom Skyline
Group Contact: unnecessary (school)
Project milestone dates: April 6, May 18.
What is the objective of this project?
The objective is to create decorations that can be used for prom
How does your project align with our mission and goals as a class?
With this project, I am participating in the process required to make an important high school event happen, going out of my way to do something so that the event will be more enjoyable for other people.
What is your role in the project?
I will be using a saw to cut out tracing of a skyline.
How are you and your group going to hold each other accountable for work getting done throughout the project?
Sean is the leader of this project so he will be managing each individual person. Since there are not too many meeting dates, it will not be difficult to keep each person accountable. The people helping will change each time (Sean and I as exceptions) and the focus of the job is fairly narrow, therefore, staying on task should not be difficult.
What do you see as being the largest obstacle in your way to success? What do you see as being an obstacle for your group?
The obstacle is the same for both me and the group, time and scheduling. Getting what we need to get done within a specific time period is difficult, and in this project things can often take longer than we expect.
What is the plan for overcoming these obstacles?
We will be getting more helpers. On April 6, only three people worked on this project. On May 18, we are planning to have many more people to get more done efficiently.
