Helper Project 1

The first helper project I am doing is to help Mr. Joshi with creating an Algebra review test for the incoming Calculus students next year. This will help Mr. Joshi because we will be coming up with approximately 25 multiple choice algebra problems which takes some of the load off of him. I will be helping him with another student who will also come up with 25 algebra problems.
I plan on testing these skills:
Factoring
Plugging in values
Simplification
Solving for x
Solving for zeros
Trigonometry

Jonathan Adams
Project leader: Mr. Joshi
Project Name: Algebra Review test
Group Contact: unnecessary (school)
Project milestone dates: June 6, June 9.

What is the objective of this project?
To help the future Calculus students assess their knowledge of Algebra. Their performance on the test will show their strengths and weaknesses and what they need to improve on. This is to ensure that no one will be left behind because of difficulties in Algebra.

How does your project align with our mission and goals as a class?
We are taking the time to help future Calculus students and show them what they will need to know for the class, something that we learned the hard way.
What is your role in the project?
I will be coming up with 25 multiple choice Algebra problems ranging from the list above.

How are you and your group going to hold each other accountable for work getting done throughout the
project?
My teacher will check in on us every once in a while. Michael, the other helper, and I will collaborate and review each others material to make sure it is difficult enough.

What do you see as being the largest obstacle in your way to success? What do you see as being an obstacle for your group?
Procrastination, for both Michael and me.

What is the plan for overcoming these obstacles?
By taking time to do something early and making sure the other person does it early as well.
